A young Auckland couple who purchased a Lotto ticket during a quick trip to buy dog biscuits will use their big win to buy a house.
The first division winners won $1 million in Wednesday night’s draw and purchased their ticket from Countdown Takanini in south Auckland.
“We were both pretty tired from work and the last thing we felt like doing was going to a busy supermarket, but we needed to get some food for our new puppy, so I volunteered to go in and pick some up,” the winner said.
