Grendon Boynton didn’t realise what was coming when he listed a Hamilton rental for his landlord.
The three-bedroom Claudelands home attracted 103 inquiries within two days, making it Trade Me’s most popular New Zealand rental for April.
In an unusual occurrence, Hamilton pipped bigger centres – its nearest rival was a property in Innisowen Place in Auckland’s Flat Bush with 101 inquiries.
“It was just an inundation on my phone. It was going crazy,” Boynton said of the rental frenzy.
