More than 50 charges have been filed by Tauranga City Council against companies related to the failed Bella Vista Homes development.
Charge documents allege more than half of the development was built on the wrong backfill as well as defects in foundations and block walls of six properties on Lakes Boulevard.
It is also alleged reinforcing inside the block walls was incorrectly installed and in one case missing horizontal reinforcing.
