Australian golf sensation Adam Scott has put his Gold Coast residence on the market for $5.35 million, marking the end of a two-year wait since the luxurious property, boasting a custom putting green and rooftop spa, was first listed.
The prolonged sale of the Scott family estate at Hope Island comes following Adam Scott’s relocation to Switzerland with his wife, Marie, after he was once ranked as the world’s number one player.
Originally listed in 2022 with hopes of fetching $8 million, the five-bedroom, five-bathroom mansion sprawled across a 2,519 square meter lot was eventually sold in January. The transaction was facilitated by Matt Gates, an agent from Ray White Sanctuary Cove.
Although the final selling price fell considerably short of the initial lofty expectations, it still represents a substantial profit for the 43-year-old golfer, who acquired the property from his father in 2006 for $2.75 million.
Nestled within the Sanctuary Cove estate, renowned for its championship golf courses and unique “golf buggy lifestyle,” the fully automated residence boasts ample parking for golf buggies and cars, along with an array of luxurious features including a designer kitchen, wine cellar, and bar.
The property’s highlights include multiple living and dining areas, seamlessly connecting to an inviting al fresco pavilion overlooking a palm-fringed pool and a custom putting green visible from the marble-tiled downstairs lounge.
Upstairs, a contemporary staircase leads to four ensuite bedrooms, a gym or yoga studio, sauna, and home theater. The master bedroom is described as a “lavish haven” with a walk-in robe and marble ensuite featuring a freestanding bath.
Completing the opulent experience is a rooftop deck boasting a spa, perfect for entertainment or relaxation against the backdrop of Sanctuary Cove’s picturesque surroundings.
Despite his international ventures, Adam Scott still maintains a holiday home at Sunshine Beach. The sale of his Gold Coast property coincides with a significant surge in house prices in Hope Island, which have risen by 25.9% over the past year to a median of $1.75 million, according to PropTrack data.
The agent handling the sale declined to provide further details about the transaction.
