The first figures since the arrival of coronavirus show new house listings in Waikato have plummeted.

And while property bosses expect the market to bounce back, they’re split over whether the downturn will cut short some agents’ careers.
New figures released from realestate.co.nz show 1539 houses for sale across Waikato at the end of March – a drop of 29.1 per cent when compared to March, 2019.
The downturn in activity is also reflected in new property listings, with 757 Waikato houses listed in March, a decrease of 24.5 per cent when compared to the same period last year.
