Real estate salespeople aren’t giving up – just working a bit harder.

New Real Estate Institute data shows the property market is still soft, although the pace of decline in activity looks to be stabilising.

Nationwide seasonally-adjusted house sales volumes fell 2.8 per cent month-on-month in April, but were 6.6 per cent higher than in April 2017.

In Auckland, the number of sales fell 5.1 per cent, seasonally adjusted, over the month, but was 2.4 per cent higher than in April 2017.
