Amanda Holden has successfully sold her London residence for £5 million, following its initial listing in May 2022. Like her fellow judge on Britain’s Got Talent, Simon Cowell, Amanda has decided to part ways with her London abode as she embarks on the search for her next dream home.

Back in 2015, Amanda acquired the five-bedroom Richmond house for £3.5 million. Over the years, the 52-year-old star invested in revamping the property according to her distinctive style, resulting in a remarkable £1.5 million profit from its recent sale. Accompanied by her husband Chris and their daughters Lexi (17) and Hollie (11), Amanda enjoyed the family residence. However, with her eldest daughter considering attending university in the United States, Amanda is now looking to move on from this familial haven.

During weekends, the family frequently sought refuge in their cherished Cotswold home, while their current summer is spent in the Mediterranean. Amanda is skillfully balancing family vacation time with her commitments to filming the second season of her popular show, The Italian Job.

Situated in proximity to Richmond Park, the London house is adorned with luxurious features, including a garden hot tub. Notably, the property holds unique embellishments, such as a palm tree planted in tribute to Sir Captain Tom Moore and a £30,000 artwork by the Connor Brothers.

Upon entering the property through the elaborate double front doors, visitors are greeted by a generously spacious reception room boasting an Ortal tunnel fireplace that serves as an inviting focal point, creating a cozy and warm ambiance. The reception area seamlessly transitions into a study, a family room/playroom, and a home bar space.

Designed by Amanda herself, the bespoke kitchen shines with three disco ball-style lights, each valued at £850, suspended elegantly above her breakfast bar. Flowing from the kitchen is the dining area, featuring exposed brick walls and trendy Crittall doors that lead to the meticulously landscaped garden.

Ascending to the upper level reveals four or five bedrooms, with the smallest currently functioning as Amanda’s personal dressing room. Additionally, planning permission has been secured for a garage, carport, and supplementary habitable accommodations adjacent to the main house. Amanda’s acquisition of the property involved persistent efforts, as she tirelessly persuaded its previous owner to sell, a pursuit that ultimately bore fruit.

Despite initially dubbing the house her “forever home,” Amanda made the decision to list it for sale in May 2022, seven years after her original purchase. Although the property was temporarily removed from the market in August 2022, it was subsequently relisted in March 2023.

Commenting on her home to House Beautiful, Amanda shared her intention to avoid the aura of a mere “show home,” emphasizing the importance of imbuing the property with a sense of lived-in comfort.
