Mayo Hardware director James Mayo has sold his Bondi Beach penthouse for $20.1m at auction — the highest price for an apartment sold under the hammer in Australia.
Auctioneer Damien Cooley had seven registered bidders, with five active from $14.5m for the north-facing four-bedroom apartment with exceptional privacy and stunning panoramic ocean views at 16/16 Notts Avenue.
The penthouse is arguably Bondi Beach’s best penthouse, with sleek open-plan interiors and a large deck with prized north-easterly views over Sydney’s most famous beach.
