- Wellington ratepayers look like footing the bill as the group that helped put a stop to the Basin Flyover turns its attention to a crumbling block of flats.
The Architectural Centre has lodged an appeal in the Environment Court against the Wellington City Council’s decision to amend the District Plan and take away the Gordon Wilson flats’ heritage status.
In May, the Wellington City Council voted to rezone the building as part of Victoria University, allowing the university to develop the site for “university purposes”.
