PHOTO: Mike Pero Real Estate is one real estate disrupter growing fast

Going back a few years or so, there were no real estate agency disrupters in New Zealand that lasted. Now we have a number: and they are growing – fast!

So what is the difference now? In the age of consumer power – price point talks. Uber/Amazon/ Netflix are all powerful companies on the back of providing the consumer a great experience but  – cheaper.

Real Estate Agency – is not immune to such consumer power. Those companies that can provide a great experience at a cheaper rate – will succeed. This is why we see some of the companies below starting to really capture market share in New Zealand for residential real estate sales VS the traditional brands:

Traditional Brands – National

Harcourts

Ray White

Barfoot & Thompson

LJ Hooker

Bayleys

Professionals

First National

Century 21

All above are fine real estate brands – without doubt but we are starting to see a a real split between traditional/new age brands. The key will be – salespeople. The brands that dominate now – have more salespeople. Can the real estate disrupters attract more and more salespeople? If they can  – they have a serious future.

One Agency – is an Australian brand that operates in NZ/Australia and now Fiji. One Agency is a revolution in real estate, empowering both individual real estate professionals and established agencies to take control of their future and bring an entirely new level of service to clients.

Mike Pero Real Estate – is a NZ brand with it’s origins in Christchurch. Founded by Mike Pero himself. Today Mike Pero is recognised as one of the best options when it comes to buying or selling real estate. The brand is acknowledged as a leader in marketing and with a commission and fee structure that often comes in well below others. Mike Pero has been the choice of an increasing number of home sellers and buyers.

Tall Poppy – In 2012, Tall Poppy Real Estate was established in Wellington, a home grown Kiwi business with a straight up proposition – offer a quality service at an unbeatable flat fee without compromising on achieving the best possible price for your property.

Many have come and gone – The Jones – Go Gecko as a couple of examples. Those brands that can recruit salespeople and grow their commission sales force footprint will have long term success.
