A piece of Nelson history is shifting about 30 kilometres out of town.
The 1940s art deco house on Nelson’s Shelbourne St near Nelson cathedral, has been cut in half, ready to make the road trip to it’s new home in Upper Moutere on Wednesday night.
Trucking company, L & A Cotton Heavy Haulage Ltd, lifted and secured the sections on to two trucks throughout the day on Wednesday, in preparation for the approximately two hour journey.
