- Every night on arriving home, Anne pours a glass of her favourite bubbles, before cuddling some of her many cats.
At her Huapai olive estate, Goose Creek (one of her three homes) Anne has around 150 strays living at the “Pussy Palace for Pensioners”, an extensive indoor/outdoor sanctuary for unwanted cats.
Anne, who is chair of the NZ Cat Foundation, adores her cats so much; she keeps their cremated ashes in little wooden boxes which remain close to her at home.
