Tom has teamed up with his childhood friend Ben in a bid to take out The Block NZ 2018. He lives in Auckland and works as a project manager. He’s a bit of a handyman and likes to tinker in the garage working on his motorcycle. He admits to having made a decor faux pas in the past in the form of a “creepy” garden gnome in his bedroom after he won it in a game of pool.

The friends have played a long game on the show – favouring the overall look and flow of the home above winning room reveals. That strategy appeared to pay off in kitchen week where their efforts wowed the judges.
