What’s in a view?
Duplex developer Daniel Krimotat has bought the knockdown property directly opposite the Dover Heights home of missing fraudster Melissa Caddick and her husband Anthony Koletti.
Krimotat and construction development partner Martin Airth paid $6.56m for the 544 sqm holding.
The tightly-held three-bedroom home was marketed with drone imagery as offering scope for city skyline views. The deceased estate offering was sold by the retailing Cohen family who had bought on Wallangra Rd for £12,850 in 1963.
Duplex developer Daniel Krimotat has bought the knockdown property directly opposite the Dover Heights home of missing fraudster Melissa Caddick.
There were no helpful security cameras at the classic 1950s brick bungalow to help solve the Caddick mystery, but there are views from the living room and bedroom of the vacated contemporary house opposite.
The Caddick home was raided by the Australian Federal Police in November 2020 on suspicions she had misappropriated about $23m from investors including her friends and family.
There are repairs being undertaken ahead of its spring listing.
Bad neighbours: the Caddick residence can be seen directly opposite.
The property is ripe for reimagining.
And there’s nothing official yet from its listing agent, Michael Pallier at Sydney Sotheby’s, despite Mr Koletti’s unrealistic suggestion it was worth $15m.
Bruce Gleeson from Jones Partners, the receivers of Caddick’s estate, is set to bring it to market within weeks.
It was bought for $6.2m in 2014.

Krimotat’s last project was his family home with wife Cassandra on a nearby 249 sqm Liverpool St site, which sold through Ray White Double Bay for $6.5m, reflecting a record rate per sqm. It was designed in a collaboration between Van Rooijen Meyers Architects and interior designer Shona McElroy of Smac Studio.
The wrecking ball is coming.
Inside and out.
A coronial inquest into Caddick’s disappearance recently heard a cop who investigated Melissa Caddick’s disappearance thought her husband was shedding fake tears during one of his initial interviews with police.
