It’ll take a special property to break the Adelaide penthouse record of $5.2 million. Has this one got what it takes?

A CBD penthouse is tipped to become the most expensive apartment sale in the state, breaking the record $5.2m set for another one in the same complex in 2018.

The two-storey penthouse on levels 38 and 39 of the Realm Adelaide complex, on Austin Street, has just hit the market without a price, but selling agent Marina Ormsby, of Fox Real Estate, said it was expected to set a new record.

“This is absolutely amazing – I haven’t seen anything like this and everybody that’s come up to the property for a variety of reasons has been amazed by the size and the quality and the views and the layout of the place,” Ms Ormsby said.

But the sale could be surpassed by the penthouse of The Cullinan on Waymouth Street which is on the market for $5.395m, and the penthouse of The Brougham in North Adelaide, currently for sale for $6.3m.

“Unlike most apartments that have hit the market before, that are set on a single level … this offers families a couple of different living areas,” Ms Ormsby said.

The home has 440sq m of internal living space and 150sq m of outdoor living space. It features four bedrooms, a study, a cinema room, a wine cellar, two kitchens and a rooftop entertaining deck.
