Australia’s most-viewed streets are home to a wide divide of properties, from multimillion-dollar mansions to humble family houses.
Researchers at realestate.com.au have analysed data from their property portal over the past three years to February and determined where the most searched for streets are.
Eight out of the top 10 most in-demand streets in Australia were located in NSW, however, it was Drewery Lane in inner Melbourne that took out first place.
The tiny laneway is one of more than 40 culturally-significant lanes and arcades of Melbourne that date back to the Victorian era, but are today known for their street art and cafe culture. Apartments in the street, which are often chic warehouse conversions, have most recently sold for as much as $1.3 million.
Nerida Conisbee, realestate.com.au’s chief economist took a look at the most-viewed addresses nationwide and made her call on why these particular streets are turning heads online.
