Cashed-up cricketer Pat Cummins has splashed a huge price — more than double the previous street record — on an extraordinary Bronte home.

The world’s No. 1 Test bowler paid circa $9.5m for Figtree House, the beautifully revived Victorian manor home of Double Bay’s Indigo Cafe owner Anthony Moustacas, described as the “grand dame of Chesterfield Parade”.

PPD Real Estate principal Alexander Phillips and colleague David Tyrrell couldn’t discuss the purchasers of 27 Chesterfield Parade, citing a confidentiality agreement, though other sources have confirmed Cummins’s purchase.
