After more than five years on and off the market, a riverfront Georgian-inspired palace on Perth’s Millionaire’s Row has become Western Australia’s most expensive property sale this financial year.

The home, at 26 Jutland Parade in the affluent western suburb of Dalkeith, was sold by William Porteous Properties International to Matthew James Fry and his wife Anna Katarzyna Fry for $16.5 million.

The 2372-square-metre block has a 41-metre-wide river frontage.

The 1973 five-bedroom, five-bathroom home on it was previously owned by Tzu Chao Pan and Beng Choo Lim who purchased it in 1998 for $3.7 million.

Mr Fry’s Bayswater business AM Diagnostics was the first Australian company to receive approval from the Therapeutic Goods Administration to supply rapid antigen tests domestically.

AM Diagnostics supplies medical and diagnostic products including drug testing kits to allied health, corporate and government.

It was one of three companies the state government procured millions of RATs from to deliver free to households.

William Porteous, representing the property agency, said the home would be demolished.

“The land is just so valuable and Jutland Parade has always been the best street in Australia,” he said.

“In 1980, 64 Jutland Parade sold for $2.1 million making it the most expensive house in Australia.
