In stark contrast, Sydney was one of the poorest performers with prices falling 7.8 per cent in the past year, according to the latest Global Residential Cities Index released by Knight Frank.
The report, which tracks the movement in average residential prices across 150 cities, showed strong results across Asia and Europe.
