It’s not hard to picture the Gatsby-esque New Year’s Eve parties that have taken place within this dual-level penthouse in harbourside Milsons Point. With spectacular bridge and harbour views, luxurious interiors and plenty of space, it is made for entertaining.

And therefore the owners, despite being avid travellers, haven’t missed hosting a single New Year’s Eve party since purchasing the home in 2015.

“Our New Year’s Eve parties are absolutely insane. We have people everywhere – on the top and bottom levels. We’re proud to do it and we invite everybody we know … people we don’t know … their friends…” says the owner.

“You can almost feel the explosion of the fireworks in your chest.”

While the harbour views take centre stage, there’s another piece of prized skyline on display looking west.

“Whenever anybody has come here, the first thing they say is, ‘I’ve never seen a view like this in my life’. You say it and people don’t believe you, but on a clear day you can also see the Blue Mountains.”

The apartment was completely refurbished by the vendors. What was once an interior palette of orange-hued timber has been transformed with dark cabinetry and marble feature walls – everything, from the windows to the floors is brand new.
