Katy Perry, the well-known pop star, has often found herself embroiled in controversies, especially during her time as a judge on “American Idol.” However, her recent actions have sparked outrage among some of her devoted fans on X (formerly Twitter).

The uproar stems from allegations that Perry, aged 38, and her longtime fiance, Orlando Bloom, aged 46, may be involved in evicting a terminally ill veteran from his home. The Hollywood couple has been entangled in a three-year legal battle over a Montecito, California mansion they purchased for $14.2 million in 2021.

The "Hot n Cold" attitude of fans comes after an 83-year-old military vet Carl Westcott claimed that Perry and Bloom made him sell the house when he “lacked the mental capacity to understand the nature and probable consequences of the contract" due to a medical procedure.

When reached out for comment by The Post, one infuriated fan exclaimed, “Why are you trying to kick a dying vet out of his house? What is wrong with you? Your real estate agent is so shady, getting him to sign something while he’s on drugs from surgery in the hospital.”

Another concerned fan questioned, “What’s up with Katy Perry and her disturbing real estate deals/scams in CA?”

A third person scornfully remarked, “WOW, who knew @katyperry & Orlando Bloom were such scumbags and terrible people. To think she comes from a very religious family. To do this to a vet and someone who is in the last years of their life. To think I looked up to this heartless Witch! Talk about a LOWLIFE.”

These fans’ disappointment follows allegations made by veteran Carl Westcott, aged 83, who claimed that Perry and Bloom pressured him into selling the house when he was not in the right mental state to comprehend the contract due to a recent medical procedure.

Court documents obtained by The Post revealed that Westcott, a former US Army 101st Airborne service member, had originally bought the house in May 29 with the intention of living there for the rest of his life. Westcott argued that his advanced age, Huntington’s disease (a debilitating brain disorder), and a major surgery less than a week before the proposed contract had seriously impaired his mental faculties, rendering him unfit to provide informed consent for the transaction.

In a final attempt to acquire the property, Perry and Bloom sent Westcott a letter in 2020 expressing their love for the home and their desire to purchase it for a higher sum than what he initially paid. Interestingly, the obtained documents suggest that the duo’s real intention was to turn the property into a rental.

Perry is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, marking yet another instance of her involvement in a protracted legal dispute. Just last month, it was revealed that she had been engaged in a secret legal battle with Australian designer Katie Perry over the use of her name.
