The man accused of threatening to gatecrash the home-opens of western suburbs real estate high-flyer Vivien Yap is facing more legal woes, with the bank now moving in to repossess his Joondanna home.
Sandi Matic has been locked in an unrelenting Supreme Court stoush with the Ray White Dalkeith boss since February over allegations he threatened to disrupt her business.
The dispute stemmed from Matic’s dissatisfaction with the sale of his lavish Mount Claremont home, which he claimed sold for $750,000 less than the $2 million he wanted.
Yap claims that Matic then threatened to retaliate for his alleged losses, by attending her home-opens to disrupt her business.
Yap sought court orders to restrain Matic from disrupting her business and airing scandalous details of the stoush online.
Just last month, Matic was found in contempt of court for sending “menacing” emails about the case and the judge overseeing it to members of parliament.
He’s also battling a second lawsuit after he lodged a security interest over one of Yap’s own properties on the federal property register. Yap has applied to the court for an order removing Matic’s security interest.
But it appears Matic will now have another legal battle on his hands, with the Commonwealth Bank lodging a writ for the repossession of his Kinsella Street home.
According to the writ, Matic was handed a default notice 12 months ago for failing to repay $22,843 on his home loan.
He was served with a demand for payment in June after failing to rectify the alleged debt.
In the writ, the bank demanded Matic pay the outstanding funds and is seeking a court order to repossess the property.
Ms Yap has established herself as the go-to real estate agent in Perth’s affluent western suburbs, taking out the title of the state’s best agent for several consecutive years.
