Michelle Bridges, the renowned fitness entrepreneur, finds herself facing difficulties in selling her exquisite five-bedroom estate in Kangaloon, which she acquired through a pressure cooker auction in 2018. Despite making multiple price reductions, the property, known as Summerside, remains unsold as Ms. Bridges plans to return full-time to Sydney.

Initially listed with a price guide of $7 million by her then agents, The Agency, the property was taken to auction in March, but the highest bid fell short at $4.825 million. After the auction, the revised guidance brought the price range down to approximately $5 million.

Ms. Bridges had outbid celebrity chef Luke Mangan when purchasing the property for $2.7 million, which offers an in-ground pool, tennis court, an artist studio, and a barn-style double garage with a loft bedroom and bathroom, all set amidst beautifully designed gardens by Michael Bligh.

Southern Higlands

A price guide of $7m had been suggested for the Souther Higlands property in February.

Despite relisting the 4.1-hectare estate for May auction with hopes ranging from $4.6 million to $4.8 million, the property has not yet found a buyer. The Ray White agency, responsible for the sale, has now adjusted the price range to $4.15 million to $4.4 million.

To enhance marketing efforts, Ms. Bridges enlisted Emily Hill from StyleCo to style the house interiors, a move she recommended to her 266,000 followers on Instagram. StyleCo, founded by Hill in 2017, provides styling services for properties in the Highlands, Southern Tablelands, and the South Coast.

The Southern Highlands, once among the fastest-growing regions in 2021, faced significant challenges due to interest rate increases in the past year, according to PropTrack figures.

Despite the hurdles, Michelle Bridges remains hopeful that the right buyer will soon discover the charm and elegance of her Kangaloon home, offering it at a substantial $3 million discount from its original price.
