According to realestate.com.au former Miss Universe Oliva Molly Rogers earned a huge $100,000 premium at the auction for her and ex-husband Justin McKeone’s Glen Iris townhouse, following their recent high-profile split.

The Adelaide-born model, artist and influencer shared the 3/1502 High St home with Mr McKeone for two years up until the shock announcement of their separation at the start of October.

Two strong bidders competed for the keys in front of a crowd of more than 50 people, before it sold under the hammer for $1.25m — a whopping $100,000 above their $1.15m reserve.

A $1.05m vendor bid kicked off the auction, which McGrath St Kilda principal Josh Stirling said “took a little while to get going (before) two bidders went straight at it”.

“It was bought by a downsizer coming back to town from Point Lonsdale, with older children, one at uni and one at school,” Mr Stirling said.

“She came back four times (to inspect) … the renovation Olivia and Justin did really connected with her and her children.”

CoreLogic records show Ms Rogers and Mr McKeone purchased the three-bedroom pad for $985,000 in 2020, before an extensive renovation saw it transformed into a stylish, inner-city abode.

“They’re both very happy (with the result),” Mr Stirling said of the ex-couple.

“Obviously it’s a challenging time but getting above expectations in those situations helps them both out, it’s a massive weight off their shoulders.”

The property was initially listed with a $1.1m-$1.2m price guide.
