Used as the backdrop to The Great Gatsby and Married At First Sight, this Sydney estate described as one of Australia’s grandest and home to the Sydney Polo Club could smash records.

An incredible 115ha property occupying 14 land titles on the banks of the Hawkesbury River could soon record one of the highest sales prices ever for a private estate in Sydney.

The former Richmond Lowlands dairy farm turned home of the Sydney Polo Club is described as one of Australia’s most prestigious and historical grand estates.

It has three polo fields, 38 brick horse stables, two undercover riding areas, a grand clubhouse, a character homestead and three cottages.

The property features a club house, four residences and another entertainment pavilion.

The grand estate is the result of a 20-year vision by the seller, Peter Higgins, who co-founded Mortgage Choice.

Listed with Ray White Rural NSW’s Chris Malone and Forbes Global Properties’ Ken Jacobs, the property was briefly on the market in 2019 with expectations at the time of a $75 million sale price.

This time around, Mr Malone said the market would dictate the sale price and therefore a guide would not be set.

“It is a genuine sale and the owners are very serious about selling and are happy to consider any serious offer,” he said.
