Singer-songwriter Tones and I has been quietly expanding her property portfolio, adding a family home in Melbourne’s south-east.

The pop sensation bought a four-bedroom property in Frankston, which has not been revealed until now although the purchase was made last year.

Tones and I, also known as Toni Watson, has made a string of real estate deals since finding fame with hits such as Dance Monkey and Never Seen the Rain.

Public records show the latest deal in Frankston was inked for $720,000 through a corporate entity known as Johnny Run Away – sharing a name with one of her hit songs – of which the 28-year-old Ms Watson is a director.

The property was marketed as a three-bedroom main house plus a separate bungalow that could be used as a home office or converted to accommodate seniors or teens. Set on a large block of more than 800 square metres, it was offered with potential for redevelopment.

Selling agent Sandra Bardebes of Eview Group declined to comment. Ms Watson’s management company was also contacted for comment.

The same corporate entity was used to snap up a Byron Bay retreat for $3.3 million last year. The property boasts two renovated houses on the same block, only a few streets back from Byron’s foreshore.
