According to realestate.com.au new data has uncovered the top 10 streets in Queensland, where home values have surged so much you’d have to pay almost double the state’s highest suburb median price to buy there.

New data generated by Suburbtrends found median prices in Queensland’s top 10 streets ranged between $5-6m – close to double the state’s highest suburb median price of $2.96m (currently held by Teneriffe).

Significant ramping up of prices in evergreen holiday destination Noosa saw prices supercharge in the past year wiping all other competition across Qld off the top 10 streets list – including some of the most expensive parts of Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Noosa saw a massive surge in interest from interstate buyers escaping lockdowns as well as people looking to lock in prestige holiday homes at relatively affordable prices compared to southern capitals.

Suburbtrends founder Kent Lardner said while there were “obviously an abundance of streets” on the Gold Coast and Brisbane that could have been competitors, “the standout that we’ve got is Sunshine Beach and Noosaville”.

“If you plot them on a map, you’ll see they’re focused on the canal and beachside suburbs,” he said of the top 10 all of which within a six to seven kilometre radius of each other.
