The meteoric rise to stardom of music superstar Taylor Swift is impressive, but so is her real estate empire.

As of 2020, she owns about NZ$125 million in mansions and penthouses in Nashville, Rhode Island, Beverly Hills and New York, according to toptenrealestatedeals.com. She is reportedly looking for a home in London to be near her boyfriend Joe Alwyn, a British actor.

Having grown up in Pennysylvania, Swift moved to Nashville, with her parents, for her nascent musical career when she was still just a tween. It was at the age of 20 that Swift began her real estate adventure, purchasing a 3240 square-foot condo in the Tennessee city’s Music Row for NZ$3.1m.

With the success of her third, 2010 album Speak Now, she began looking for a new property in Los Angeles. That resulted initially in a NZ$5.5m Beverly Hills-based Cape Cod-style home in 2011 (which she sold a few years later for around NZ$6.18m), followed by a NZ$2.75m mid-century-modern house in 2012 (sold in 2018 for NZ$4.1m).
