After room for yourself and 40 or so mates – or do you have a vision for a fixer-upper with a difference?

The former Elandra Resort, in South Mission Beach on Queensland’s Cassowary Coast, has come back onto the market, being sold as a “potential residential oasis with room for the whole extended family”.

As the listing notes, the site also has “the potential to be run as a boutique lifestyle health retreat focusing on wellness, yoga, meditation, or even a secluded and private haven for medicinal rehabilitation or detoxification purposes.”

It comprises of six hectares of grounds described as being “like a private zoo” with a large stretch of beach frontage, 40 accommodation rooms, resort pool and deck.

The property was seeking a price of around $6 million, said Stephen Brown, from agency Brown & Co.
