{"id":10298,"date":"2017-11-23T07:01:21","date_gmt":"2017-11-22T18:01:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/propertynoise.co.nz\/au\/?p=10298"},"modified":"2017-11-23T07:01:21","modified_gmt":"2017-11-22T18:01:21","slug":"wa-supreme-court-rules-estate-perth-mining-billionaire-michael-wright","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/propertynoise.co.nz\/au\/wa-supreme-court-rules-estate-perth-mining-billionaire-michael-wright\/","title":{"rendered":"WA Supreme Court rules on estate of Perth mining billionaire Michael Wright"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"description\">THE award of $25 million to the youngest daughter of the late Perth mining billionaire Michael Wright has been slashed to $6 million after his estate appealed.<\/p>\n<div class=\"story-content\">\n<p>Olivia Mead, who was born from Mr Wright\u2019s relationship with Elizabeth Anne Mead after he divorced three wives, was aged 19 in 2015 when Master Craig Sanderson of the Supreme Court of WA ruled her bequest should be increased more than eightfold.<\/p>\n<p>The estate argued in the WA Court of Appeal that the $3 million Ms Mead had originally inherited was adequate for her proper maintenance.
