{"id":20918,"date":"2019-09-05T12:41:09","date_gmt":"2019-09-05T00:41:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/propertynoise.co.nz\/au\/?p=20918"},"modified":"2019-09-05T12:41:09","modified_gmt":"2019-09-05T00:41:09","slug":"company-run-by-ex-reia-president-malcolm-gunning-convicted-over-agency-trust-accounts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/propertynoise.co.nz\/au\/company-run-by-ex-reia-president-malcolm-gunning-convicted-over-agency-trust-accounts\/","title":{"rendered":"Company run by ex-REIA president Malcolm Gunning convicted over agency trust accounts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PHOTO:\u00a0Malcolm Gunning, the former president of the Real Estate Institute of NSW\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A real estate company run by one of Australia\u2019s top agents has been convicted in court over the management of its trust accounts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Malcolm Gunning, the former president of the Real Estate Institute of NSW and the Real Estate Institute of Australia, faced Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday, over charges against company Guncom \u2013 of which he is now the sole director.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The company behind Gunning Real Estate was convicted of not auditing a trust account as required\u00a0by magistrate Richard Funston. The company was put on a two-year conditional release order and ordered to pay $10,000 in professional and legal fees for Fair Trading.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Two other charges against the company, relating to a trust account not being kept in the company\u2019s name and failure to comply with receipt requirements for trust money, were dismissed.<\/p>\n<p>READ MORE VIA <a
