ABC News<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"first\"><a href=\"http:\/\/shelter.org.au\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/The-Australian-Rental-Market-Report-Final-Web.pdf\">Two-thirds<\/a>\u00a0of tenants in Australia rent through a real estate agent. A\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/shelter.org.au\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/fly-factsheet-australia-updated-16-September-2014.pdf\">national shortage<\/a>\u00a0of private rental housing forces these tenants to impress the real estate agent to secure a property \u2014 their application needs to stand out from other applications.<\/p>\n<p>An analysis of articles on leading online real estate sites identifies six aspects of interactions between the real estate agent and tenant that affect a tenant&#8217;s ability to secure a rental property.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1080\/02673037.2019.1621271?journalCode=chos20\">My research<\/a>\u00a0reveals the power of the agent over the tenant.
