{"id":22981,"date":"2020-01-05T10:02:04","date_gmt":"2020-01-04T21:02:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/propertynoise.co.nz\/au\/?p=22981"},"modified":"2020-01-05T10:02:20","modified_gmt":"2020-01-04T21:02:20","slug":"corelogic-december-2019-home-value-index","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/propertynoise.co.nz\/au\/corelogic-december-2019-home-value-index\/","title":{"rendered":"Corelogic December 2019 Home Value Index"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PHOTO: CoreLogic<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dwelling values rose by 1.1% over the month of December and by 4.0% over the quarter to finish out 2019 on a positive note according to the CoreLogic national home value index.&nbsp;<\/strong>This result represents the fastest rate of national dwelling value growth over any three month period since November 2009. &nbsp;Darwin was the only region amongst the capital cities and \u2018rest-of-state\u2019 areas to record a fall in values over the month, with a -0.5% decline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.corelogic.com.au\/sites\/default\/files\/2020-01\/highlights.png\" alt=\"\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CoreLogic head of research Tim Lawless said, \u201cAlthough the monthly capital gains trend remains fast-paced, the 1.1% rise in December was softer relative to the 1.7% gain in November and the 1.2% rise in October. This would suggest that the pace of capital gains may have been dampened by higher advertised stock levels or worsening affordability pressures through early summer.\u201d &nbsp;<br><br><strong>On an annual basis, Australian dwelling values tracked 2.3% higher over the 2019 calendar year<\/strong>&nbsp;with five of the eight capital cities, and five of the seven \u2018rest-of-state\u2019 regions, seeing the year out in positive growth territory. &nbsp;Amongst the capitals, Sydney and Melbourne recorded the highest annual capital gain, with both cities posting a 5.3% rise in dwelling values over the year.
