An alternative to traditional property buying is growing in popularity as Australians seek other avenues to park their money during uncertain and confusing economic times.<\/p>\n

Armchair investing – aka fractional investment<\/a> – has also emerged as an alternate option for people to get their first foot on the property ladder.<\/p>\n

Leading fractional investment firm the ASX-listed DomaCom<\/a> has had its fund under management grow from $23m in 2017, shortly after it listed in November 2016, to a present $72 million.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The COVID-19 epidemic hasn\u2019t managed to put the brakes on the interest in the investment option either, with DomaCom funds under management close to doubling from the $52 million this time last year.<\/p>\n

And they aren\u2019t alone.<\/p>\n

Other fractional investment platforms such as Bricklet and BrickX<\/a> allow property buyers to invest across a range of options, from residential to commercial, and rentals to holiday lettings.<\/p>\n
