He made waves four years ago when he snapped up his tenth property aged 25 but an ex-housing commission resident has since refined his buying tactics and now owns 29. Here\u2019s how he did it.<\/p>\n

Ex-housing commission resident Eddie Dilleen is preparing to buy himself an unusual present before his 30th birthday in September \u2013 his 30th property.<\/p>\n

He needs just one more purchase to get there.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old already owns an incredible 29 properties spread across the country, having bought his first in his late teens while working at McDonald\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Nine of his properties were purchased over 2020 and early 2021 and the value of his portfolio has surpassed $6 million.<\/p>\n

Many of his properties were purchased while working jobs that paid $60,000-$70,000 a year and he said he grew up \u201cextremely poor\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople assume I got money from my mum and dad but we lived in poverty,\u201d he said. \u201cMy mum was on a pension and that was our only source of income.\u201d<\/p>\n
