A Bel Air<\/a> mansion has hit the rental market for an eye-watering figure of $US500,000 ($644,263) a month after it lingered on the market for sale during the pandemic.<\/p>\n

The home is in an exclusive Los Angeles neighbourhood and has eight bedrooms and a whopping 21 bathrooms \u2014 that\u2019s 13 more bathrooms than there are bedrooms \u2014 and features a subterranean basement space for 20 cars, a 36-person theatre, a recording studio and a wellness centre.<\/p>\n

Not only would the new tenant need to come up with more than $500,000 a month for the landlord, they would also need to pay a deposit of $1.5 million before moving in.<\/p>\n

The lavish multi-storey mansion was featured on the popular Instagram account Zillow Gone Wild attracting dozens of comments.<\/p>\n

The Spanish-style property was initially\u00a0listed for sale at the height of the pandemic\u00a0with an asking price of $US100 million at the time but failed to find a seller, Zillow<\/a> records show.<\/p>\n

The owners even reduced the asking price by 22 per cent by September, down to $US78 million before the listing was removed in March.<\/p>\n

It has returned online as a rental for half a million US dollars, according to the\u00a0new listing<\/a>\u00a0on Realtor.<\/p>\n
