A sizeable portion of Aussies think it\u2019s a good time to buy property despite record levels of buyer competition and rampant price growth. Here\u2019s why.<\/p>\n

Two in five Australians think it is a good time to buy property, despite record levels of buyer competition and prices recently rising at the fastest pace in three decades.<\/p>\n

The proportion of Aussies polled in a recent survey who said it was a good time to buy outnumbered those who were unsure whether it was an ideal time to buy.<\/p>\n

The 42 per cent with a favourable view of buying conditions also outnumbered the 28 per cent who said it was a bad time to purchase, according to the Edentify survey commissioned by Mortgage Choice.<\/p>\n

The research surveyed more than 1000 Australians across the country.<\/p>\n

Mortgage Choice chief executive Susan Mitchell said the research showed Aussies had mixed views about the housing market<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Those who thought it was a good time to be buying may have been influenced by record low interest rates and the fear of missing out, she said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
