Aussies are ditching their apartments and snapping up homes in droves in the sought-after new \u2018Goldilocks zone\u2019. See where makes an area considered to be a part of the lucrative new zone.<\/p>\n

Australians are snapping up homes in droves in the \u2018Goldilocks zone\u2019 on city fringes or even further, new data has shown.<\/p>\n

The new term coined for a residential property trend induced by COVID-19 has identified areas such as Bowral outside Sydney, Daylesford northwest of Melbourne and Maleny in Queensland\u2019s Sunshine Coast region as key new \u2018Goldilocks zones\u2019.<\/p>\n

The sea-change or treechange movement seen around the nation for the past 20 years or so was previously popular with those aged 55 and over seeking to \u201cdownshift and downsize\u201d, The Demographics Group managing director Bernard Salt said.<\/p>\n

But now, it\u2019s being done by people aged 25 to 44.<\/p>\n

As Millennials emerge from their city hipster apartments with children in tow, they\u2019re seeking a better lifestyle, with the once-in-a-lifetime health crisis proving working from home and only commuting to the CBD once or twice a week can be productive and result in far better lifestyles.<\/p>\n
