It\u2019s not just Sydney\u2019s house prices<\/a> that are ridiculous \u2013 a vacant car spot in the city has fetched a crazy amount of money.<\/p>\n

In what is the least surprising news when it comes to Sydney\u2019s real estate market, someone has paid an enormous amount of money for not a great deal.<\/p>\n

\n

The different with this eye-watering sale though is that the buyer didn\u2019t get a bedroom, bathroom or any kind of view for the purchase.<\/p>\n

Just a car space. Although, as the realtor explained, that\u2019s a sought-after asset in this part of town.<\/p>\n

When the listing was shared on social media, people were shocked but not entirely surprised given the heat in the property market.<\/p>\n

Advertised on\u00a0realestate.com.au<\/a><\/i>, listing agency Laing + Simmons described the \u2018Car Space in the heart of Potts Point\u2019 as a huge opportunity.<\/p>\n

\u201cAn opportunity exists to purchase an easy access, undercover, secure car space, positioned on the entry level within Macleay Apartments; giving its owner additionally, the use of the outdoor swimming pool.<\/p>\n

\u201cMacleay Apartments sits in the heart of cosmopolitan Potts Point, adjacent to Woolworths, in one of Sydney\u2019s most desirable precincts and walking distance to the CBD.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ad also broke down the fees, which include a \u2018Strata Levy: $209.60 per quarter\u2019 and \u2018Council Rates: $188.90 per quarter\u2019.<\/p>\n

It didn\u2019t take long for a new owner for the little slice of concrete to be found, and they paid a pretty penny for the car spot \u2013 a staggering $225,000.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
