There was no commission if they failed.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"_2X-83 g1U-R v-gc3 _299hJ\" data-component=\"RelatedCard\" data-uri=\"coremedia:\/\/article\/100653376\">\n<div class=\"RCbfz dA4xg _2q0YW\">\n<div class=\"_2w1Dd\">\n<p class=\"_3PR0j _3rsys _1cBaI _3VnJp _10YQT\" data-component=\"Typography\">Commissioner Kenneth Hayne has made 76 recommendations to overhaul the banking sector. So what&#8217;s in it?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p class=\"_1HzXw\">In a statement, ANZ said the civil charges related to three unlicensed third parties that provided home loan application documents to ANZ lenders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_1HzXw\">&#8220;ANZ has co-operated with ASIC during its investigation and has established a customer remediation program as well as continuously improving its home loan processes and controls,&#8221; the bank said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_1HzXw\">Home loans are key to the profitability of Australian banks. ANZ&#8217;s annual profit soared 72\u00a0per cent to $6.1 billion in the past financial year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_1HzXw\">The bank&#8217;s chief executive\u00a0Shayne Elliott\u00a0said some of that growth was due to\u00a0growth in home loans\u00a0during the COVID property boom.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"_3HiYf _2K_6X _1cBaI _2b-O4 _2yZBa _3I3Xh _2uBSR _10YQT _1lh6E\" data-component=\"Heading\">ASIC
