NRL legend Paul Harragon’s epic resort-style home is up for grabs and it’s got everything a footy fan could want for the start of a new season – and more.

The envy-inducing oceanfront home sits on 2.15 acres, boasts stunning panoramic coastal views and is tipped to set a new price record for the Newcastle region.

Like Harragon, aka ‘The Chief’ himself, this house could also become a local legend.

Of course it’s situated deep in Newcastle Knights territory, perched above gorgeous Dudley Beach in Whitebridge in the NSW city’s south east.

Harragon, 53, and his wife Pam bought the home 27 years ago and now with their three children grown up have decided its time to move on to the next phase of their lives.

“We want to split our time between Newcastle and the Sunshine Coast, we will still be based in Newcastle,” former Australian and NSW representative and Knights premiership winner Harragon said.

“I will miss the privacy and exclusivity of this location – it is just so unique. We turn off from the beach road and into our own sanctuary. As soon as the gate closes it is just so relaxing and really inspirational.

“It uplifts the senses and the feeling of vastness hits me every time as I lookout to the Pacific Ocean over Glenrock National Park – it is a feeling I will never forget”

The five bedroom home has been brought to market by sales agent Joshua O’Doherty from LJ Hooker Belmont who described it as a ‘once in a career’ property to list.

“I have sold some stunning high-end properties in the Lake Macquarie area and this is certainly well in that echelon and I’d be surprised if it doesn’t take pole position,” he said.

“Neighbouring homes have an ocean backdrop but this property’s outlook is different and completely breathtaking.

“It has a unique green corridor which runs along the sand and these incredible coastal views stretching to Newcastle city, beyond to Port Stephens and includes the Glenrock State Conservation area.”
