I was in jeans, sneakers and a hat \u2026\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I showed the house looking like a gardener and we sold it. Picture: Jonathan Ng<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n<p>But despite the luxurious market Lewis plays in with some eye popping homes showcased on the series \u2013 it doesn&#8217;t mean she always loves a house.<\/p>\n<p>A property with 30 chandeliers owned by a Russian prince was \u201cone of the ugliest houses I ever sold\u201d, she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was like \u2018How am I going to sell this?\u2019 Anyway, we had the opens and this guy walks in. I did the follow up calls and he said my wife loves it and I kind of took a breath and I was like: \u2018Yeah, it\u2019s pretty good\u2019,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo the most important thing in our job \u2026 and I learned at a very young age, is you don\u2019t judge and you never go in with preconceived notions about what\u2019s capable and what\u2019s possible because anything\u2019s possible, and you don\u2019t know what\u2019s around the corner \u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd you never know what phone call is going to come in. So you always have to be on your game and I think that\u2019s the exciting thing about it as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"media image kskd-media\" data-kiosked-context-name=\"kskdUIContext_01fzv3wapze9zva3sar9wp422y\">\n<div class=\"responsive-img\" data-desiredimagesize=\"block_large_image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"responsive-img_img inline-image ls-is-cached lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/content.api.news\/v3\/images\/bin\/0d049d6795de28bd5dc2d88d88d348cb\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, (max-width: 1000px) 50vw, 650px\" alt=\"She hasn't always loved all the homes she has sold.\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><\/div>\n<p><em><strong>She hasn&#8217;t always loved all the homes she has sold.<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n<p>Having spent 29 years in real estate, Lewis said one of her best deals was selling $60 million worth of property in just one day where five properties were exchanged at the same time<\/p>\n<p>But she remained tight lipped about how much money she has made throughout her career, adding that wasn\u2019t what drove her passion for the industry.<\/p>\n<p>Despite often being described as a \u201crottweiler in heels\u201d, Lewis insisted she would happily sell an apartment for $600,000 when speaking to podcast host Andrew Bucklow.<\/p>\n<p>She said if people end up in real estate for the money then things are destined to go wrong.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of these young guys see quick money and they go \u2018Okay, I want to be the rock star driving a fancy car or with a shiny shoes\u2019, and there are a lot of shiny shoes in Double Bay and there\u2019s a lot of money to be made and I think that\u2019s why the industry needs to have good role models in it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause with fast money comes fast situations comes terrible service.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"media image kskd-media\" data-kiosked-context-name=\"kskdUIContext_01fzv3wapsem0t4gz0v5y4s208\">\n<div class=\"responsive-img\" data-desiredimagesize=\"block_large_image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"responsive-img_img inline-image ls-is-cached lazyloaded\" src=\"https:\/\/content.api.news\/v3\/images\/bin\/5f719a1989a10e4b349d2d2499de00e7\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, (max-width: 1000px) 50vw, 650px\" alt=\"Luxe Listings Sydney follows elite agents as they negotiate multimillion-dollar deals in one of the most competitive real estate markets in the world.\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><\/div>\n<p><em><strong>Luxe Listings Sydney follows elite agents as they negotiate multimillion-dollar deals in one of the most competitive real estate markets in the world.<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n<p>She added real estate has become the most competitive market in the last five to eight years but she tells anyone looking to join the industry that they will \u201close\u201d if they are just looking to make a \u201cquick buck\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou make one sale, and then you posted on social media on how amazing you are but then you don\u2019t make sales for the next 10 months,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo it has to be discipline, you have to be in it for the right reasons and I think with any job, it\u2019s like, if you love it, then the money will flow naturally.
