A Brisbane<\/a> house which was re-imagined as Bluey\u2019s three-bedroom cottage has sold for an eye-watering sum.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The inner-city Paddington home was rented by Airbnb and secretly transformed to replicate the Heeler Home from the BBC megahit Bluey, with one Aussie family given an exclusive stay earlier this year.<\/p>\n

But the owners were barred from linking the home to the cartoon while it was listed, or during the auction.<\/p>\n

The home sold for $1.845m on Saturday \u2013 making more than $1m in eight years for the sellers – and the gag order has now been lifted.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, the house was transformed into Bluey\u2019s home as part of a promotion on Airbnb in February.<\/p>\n

The scheme let one lucky family rent the brightly-coloured Queenslander home for just $10 a night. The Heeler family home was entirely customised to bring the cartoon to life and was full of quirky details that Bluey fans quickly recognised.<\/p>\n

The cartoon set was recreated down to the finest details, including artwork from the family home\u2019s walls seen in the show, and even custom-made replicas of Bluey and her sister Bingo\u2019s toys in their bedroom and toy room.<\/p>\n

The Courier-Mail<\/a>\u00a0reported Emma Hoskin and Gower Property Group selling agent Chris Gower were forbidden from cashing in on the house\u2019s global fame when it was listed for sale.<\/p>\n

The BBC forced the removal of social media posts that linked the home with Bluey and even auctioneer Justin Nickerson was under strict instructions not to mention the name.<\/p>\n

A crowd of at least 80 people attended the auction in the backyard of 55 Charlotte St, Paddington.<\/p>\n

Remarkably, the buyer had no clue about the home\u2019s history.<\/p>\n
