class=\"_1HzXw\">His Tasmanian home city of Launceston has some of the highest property prices in regional Australia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_1HzXw\">The latest CoreLogic Regional Market Update revealed unit prices grew 30.9 per cent in the 12 months to April, faster than any of the 25 largest non-capital regions in the country.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_1HzXw\">Units were also selling faster than anywhere else, with a median time of 11 days on the market\u00a0while house prices were up 29.5\u00a0per cent.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-featured-img-wrap\"><a class=\"entry-featured-img-link\" becoming another disciple of Australia&#8217;s property obsession.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_1HzXw\">&#8220;It is disappointing that property does have such a preferred tax status,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p son.<\/p>\n<p class=\"_1HzXw\">And while he accepted\u00a0he might never buy, he said renting wasn&#8217;t an easier option.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"_3qLh5 _sBMB _3fob9\"
