Once a grand Victorian Italianate mansion in Rose Bay, this late 1800s property is set to be expertly reimagined into a collection of five luxury apartments.

The sales agent, CBRE’s Ben Stewart, says they’re: “Something Sydney hasn’t seen before.”

Designed by celebrated architectural firm Woods Bagot under the talented direction of designers Domenic Alvaro and Tracey Wiles, the Kew Hillcrest residences will have exceptional postcard views from most rooms and either gardens or terraces.

And most impressively, their own personal pools.

Priced from $11m, Kew Hillcrest offers a choice of three- and four-bedroom apartments, three-to-four bathrooms, a three-to-four-car garage, with 238sqm to 392sqm of internal space, plus a two-storey penthouse.

"The

The luxurious bathrooms, tropical surroundings and private pools are reminiscent of a high-end villa in Asia …

"But

But the views are unmistakably Sydney.

And each will be crafted with sophisticated interiors and finishes that will complement the property’s world-class location and views of Sydney’s major landmarks.

Stewart said the development is unparalleled for the harbour city.

“These are exceptional house-sized residences that are beautifully appointed, combining both heritage and contemporary elements with incredible views of Sydney’s favourite icons,” he said.

“The development has a special heritage element with brand new wings built on either side and it’s been beautifully put together and appointed by the leading interior designer Tracey Wiles.

"Paradise

Paradise found.

“I believe her impeccable tastes and incredible vision is simply something Sydney hasn’t seen before.”

Wiles, interior design global leader with Woods Bagot, has described Kew Hillcrest project as unique.

“I’ve been designing high-end homes in Europe for 20 years,” she said.

“These are the highest specification residences I’ve ever seen in Australia.

“The elegance, drama and grandeur of the spaces is magnificent.”

Blending the best of old and new, the designers have connected past and present by taking a beautiful historic harbour residence and complemented it with contemporary additions.

Outside the private terraces, gardens and communal spaces have been created by notable landscape architectural firm Dangar Barin Smith.

“In Sydney today, it’s just so hard to find a site on which to build house-sized residences to this calibre — and with these amazing views capturing Sydney’s greatest icons,” Stewart said.

"Wake

Wake up to this outlook.

"These

These apartments will be hot property.

State-of-the-art features include marble kitchens with large island benches, butler’s pantries, V-Zug appliances, Sub-Zero refrigerators and wine cabinets, as well as plenty of period charm with a stylistic nod to yesteryear through elegant Romanesque arches, marble skirtings, elaborate Victorian cornices, ceiling roses and rich parquetry flooring.

Kew Hillcrest, at 780 New South Head Rd, Rose Bay, is launching to the market off-the-plan this week with completion expected in early 2025.
