A former real estate agent<\/a> is facing a lengthy legal battle after he was accused of stabbing a woman in broad daylight when she opened the door to her multimillion dollar home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Police allege the 46-year-old stabbed a woman in the chest after she answered the door of her $4.5m home in the exclusive Sydney suburb of Dover Heights<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mr Ramsay allegedly plunged a 20cm knife into the woman\u2019s chest in broad daylight around noon on August 8.<\/p>\n

Mr Ramsay was arrested a short time after the alleged stabbing while driving along Campbell Parade in Bondi.<\/p>\n

Footage from the arrest appears to show a police officer pointing a weapon at the 46-year-old and yelling at him to \u201cget down on the ground\u201d at the lights of the busy street.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Mr Ramsay was represented by his lawyer Andrew O\u2019Brien in Waverley Court where it was revealed there was a legal dispute about a subpoena that delayed proceedings.<\/p>\n

The court heard the subpoena was issued last year but there are issues that need to be \u201cventilated\u201d.<\/p>\n

The prosecutor noted \u201cthe time it\u2019s taken for this matter to come up for argument\u201d after the subpoena issue was first mentioned in November last year.<\/p>\n

Both the prosecution and defence have filed submissions in anticipation of a two-hour hearing of the issues on February 7 before Magistrate Ross Hudson.<\/p>\n

Mr Ramsay is believed to be residing at a rehabilitation facility in Swan Bay, where he was ordered to remain when he was granted bail in September.<\/p>\n
