It seems the Packer name continues to hold tremendous sway in Sydney<\/a> if James Packer\u2019s association with one of the country\u2019s most talked about residential projects is any guide.<\/p>\n

Sales across Barangaroo apartments remain strong as billionaire James Packer<\/a> jets into town to check on his penthouse for the first time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It appears Packer\u2019s association with Australia\u2019s most talked about residential project has had a positive effect, with more than $1 billion in sales and around $200m to come with the remaining apartments on the market.<\/p>\n

Sales are also soaring down the road in South Barangaroo with 84 per cent of apartments sold in the three towers of One Sydney Harbour.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a race for the finishing touches to Packer\u2019s \u2018sky home\u2019 at One Barangaroo<\/a> after he flew into Sydney over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Packer, his ex wife Erica and daughters touched down in Sydney\u00a0on Sunday, travelling by private jet from Saudi Arabia for a short visit.<\/p>\n

Packer bought the two storey luxury \u2018Sky Home inside Crown Residences\u00a0off the plan in 2017 for $60m\u00a0before his departure from the Crown empire.<\/p>\n

What will greet him as he ascends to the 48th and 49th floors and kicks his shoes off will be jawdropping views over Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.<\/p>\n

Packer has already renovated the apartment, installing an elevator and removing stairs, with other features expected to include Scandinavian bleached birch wood, ripple textured bronze glass and silver-veined stone slabs from Greece.<\/p>\n

When Packer bought off the plan, he said Erica would decorate the apartment.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s going to be a family apartment that I will use when I\u2019m in Sydney, Erica will use when she\u2019s in Sydney, and our kids will also use when they\u2019re in Sydney,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The couple previously shared a home in Sydney\u2019s east,\u00a0La Mer, which they sold for $70m in 2015<\/p>\n

Packer is expected to step foot inside his luxury apartment for the first time.<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n

Around 80 per cent of the 82 apartments in the WilkinsonEyre-designed tower had sold as of October 2022, however agents Knight Frank declined to comment on updated sale figures this week.<\/p>\n

The latest update in December 2021 revealed $975m in sale proceeds and indicated that Crown had hoped to be sold out by June 2022 with the expected net project cost to be $1.1 billion.<\/p>\n

A six bedroom penthouse<\/a>, priced at $100m, is currently on the market in the 75-floor skyscraper described as \u201cundoubtedly Australia\u2019s most exceptional Penthouse\u201d, complete with<\/p>\n

tennis court and its own indoor pool.<\/p>\n

Knight Frank has a further five One Barangaroo apartments listed on their website including the largest three bedroom apartment with an asking price of $21m along with two more three bedroom apartments at $12.8m.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also two dual bedroom apartments with asking prices of $10.5m and $11m.<\/p>\n

It comes as 84 per cent of the One Sydney Harbour tower \u2013 Residences One and Two and Waterman\u2019s Residences \u2013 in Barangaroo South have sold off the plan.<\/p>\n
