- A $40 million stoush is brewing after music lovers’ dreams of guzzling greasy wings were dashed.
The almost-operator of Auckland’s proposed Hard Rock Cafe claims his almost-landlord owes him millions in damages for profits that might have been.
Nightclub owner Richard Bethune owns the companies Hard Rock Cafe New Zealand Ltd and HRC Auckland Ltd.
He sought to open a franchised branch of the rock’n’roll-themed eatery on the Viaduct.
