An aerial imagery company has taken a series of pictures of growing Auckland suburbs which illustrate just how fast the city is expanding.
Nearmap, took yearly photographs of the Auckland suburbs of Millwater, Orewa, Glen Innes, Long Bay, Kumeu, Whenuapai and Takanini, starting in 2017.
The company also took images of Marshland in Christchurch and Poraiti in Napier.
Shane Preston, executive vice president at Nearmap said that as New Zealand experienced steady population growth, the view from the sky offered a fresh perspective of its impact.
