A landlord has been ordered to pay more than $3000 to his tenants after spraying raw sewage on their belongings and yard with a water blaster.
He then served them with a 90-day notice to terminate their tenancy after they complained to the Tenancy Tribunal.
Tenants Desiree and David Clark moved into a house in east Auckland’s Golflands, owned by Peter Ip, in December 2017.
On January 13 of this year, the couple reported the kitchen gully – part of the external drainage system for the house – was blocked and “a lot of material” was spewing out.
